Fortitude is the seventh studio album by French heavy metal band Gojira,

The album was recorded at the band's studio in New York City, produced by lead vocalist Joe Duplantier, mixed by Andy Wallace, and mastered by Ted Jensen.

Aiming for a more cohesive and uplifting sound compared to their previous album, Magma, Gojira infused Fortitude with progressive elements, guitar solos, and classic rock influences, all accompanied by positive lyrical themes. The songwriting process began in early 2018 but was delayed by the band's touring commitments. The COVID-19 pandemic further interrupted the mixing process, postponing the album's release.

Upon its debut, Fortitude entered the Billboard 200 at No. 12, selling 27,372 units in its first week in the U.S., surpassing the performance of Magma. The album also topped the Billboard Hard Rock Albums and Top Rock Albums charts, as well as the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart. In Europe, it achieved strong chart positions and sold 9,900 units in France during its first week. In Australia, it peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Charts. Fortitude was the best-selling album in pure sales in the United States during its opening week.

Critics widely acclaimed Fortitude, with Metal Hammer and Revolver naming it the best album of 2021. Rolling Stone ranked it third on their list of "The 10 Best Metal Albums of 2021." Additionally, the single "Amazonia" received a nomination for Best Metal Performance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
