Helvetios is the fifth full-length and second concept album by the Swiss folk metal band Eluveitie. The conceptual element of the album is enhanced by a narrative which features in the prologue, epilogue and at various points throughout giving it a cinematic feel, clocking in at over sixty minutes in duration. The album features melodic death metal combined with Celtic folk music instruments like fiddle, hurdy-gurdy, flutes, whistles, bagpipes, mandola, bodhran, and hammered dulcimer. Eluveitie has embraced their heavier elements on this album, making the delicate mixture of ancient and progressive their most infectious album yet. The album reached the top ten album charts in Switzerland.
