Death...The Brutal Way is the seventh album by Asphyx. It was released in June 2009 by Century Media Records. It was their first album in nine years since their 2000 album, On the Wings of Inferno. Mixing duties were handled Dan Swanö (NIGHTINGALE, EDGE OF SANITY and BLOODBATH fame) at Unisound in Sweden.

The group previously said about the album: "Cliché or not, this truly IS the heaviest ASPHYX album of all. This could easily be THE real follow-up to 'The Last One On Earth'. The songs are as always catchy, brutal and straight-forward. The slower parts have become even more slow and heavier than ever before. This is doom/death metal in the real ASPHYX spirit.
