Vale is the second album from the popular German folk power metal band Orden Ogan.

In keeping with the band's epic and folk metal background, this album features a fair degree of similar trappings, but where it truly breaks through is what happens outside of the purview of standard folk music. In stark contrast to Tyr, another folk band that dabbles in progressive ideas, this does not result in songs that come off as elaborate to the point of being convoluted, but more so comes off as a series of varied songs with a lot of peripheral detailing, but still a clearly discernible structure.

On one end of the spectrum lay a collection of more rock-infused heavy metal anthems that accent Orden Ogan's folk background in an almost radio oriented manner, particularly in the cases of "Farewell", "This Is" and "What I'm Recalling", each having rich textural layers of keyboards, choral chants and acoustic guitar work, but are generally plain in demeanour. On the other end stands highly elaborate slabs of fast-paced and technical fits of glory like "To New Shores Of Sadness" and "Reality Lost" with guitar and keyboard displays to rival Stratovarius and driving riff set heavy enough for Symphony X.
